- 60 Starling NW over Manor Way with 10 on roof tops
- Bullfinch and 2 Greenfinch also along carriageway
- Goldcrest and a pair of Bullfinch at the start of Uffmoor Lane near farm
- G S Woodpecker and 7+ Redwing at North end of wood by Tack Farm Track (The farm and various plots have just been sold)
- 22 Redwing and a Goldcrest were along the hedgerows between the woods and fishing pools.
- A corvid flock 30+ strong was also in the fields adjacent to the woods. Roughly equal numbers of Carrion Crow and Jackdaw were present. A Rook was suspected by call but could not be located.
- 2 Fallow Deer were seen in the SE corner of Uffmoor Wood. 2 Jays and a SISKIN were nearby.
- A Grey Wagtail and a Goldcrest were at Uffmoor Wood Pool.
- 2 Pied Wagtail and c10 Goldfinch at Uffmoor Farm
26th November early morning: Overcast, conditions improving Light NE 7 Mild 6C
- small group of House Sparrows opposite Quarry Lane on Manor Way
- A strong movement of Winter Thrushes noted with a total of 391 Redwing (largest group; 60) and 115 Fieldfare (largest group: 40), surprisingly moving East.
- Also noted was a local movement of Woodpigeon from roost in the woods to urban areas, involving around 100 birds just after dawn.
- A Song Thrush was singing at the North End of Uffmoor Wood.and a Mistle Thrush was on wires towards Tack Farm, from Uffmoor Lane. Goldcrest and Bullfinch were at Uffmoor Farm.
- 1 SISKIN, 2 Goldfinch and a Jay were at Ivy Cottage with 5 more Goldfinch in nearby Alders.
- A Nuthatch 3+ Goldcrest, 4 Goldfinch and c10 Long Tailed Tits were at Field Cottage Farm.
- 2 Bullfinch and a Jay were around the main Uffmoor wood car park.
- On Walton Hill, a female Kestrel was hunting over the South end a CROSSBILL was heard calling and picked up moving in from the SW, briefly circling over the Western bank before heading on NE just after 9am.
27th November 2016 early morning: Overcast Light NW 6 Mild 6C
- Kingfisher on the brook behind the Cricket Club, Manor Way.
- 2 Goldcrest Coal Tit, 2 G S Woodpecker and a Jay between Field Cottage Farm and the main Uffmoor Wood car park.
- c12 Long Tailed Tits at Chapel Lane corner.
- 2+ Goldcrest and Coal Tit at the smallholding at the NW end of Walton Hill
- A Buzzard flew out from a tree near Ivy Lane and 2 RAVEN were heard and seen near the saddlery
- 20+ Redwing, 6+ Bullfinch, 3+ Goldcrest, Coal Tit, 2+ Nuthatch Chaffinch and a Male G S Woodpecker were along Runbow Lane

- 2 confiding Goldcrest and a small group of House Sparrows were near the saddlery at Ivy Lane corner.
- At Uffmoor Wood a Buzzard was calling loudly as another circled East of the wood
- at the fishing pools a Pied Wagtail flew in from the North and 50 corvids were in the fields along the Eastern border of Uffmoor Wood, mainly Carrion Crow, but again a few looked like Rook from distance but could not confirm. 8 Starling passed over heading East.
- a male Pied Wagtail was in the Paddock by the driving range. 7 Black headed gull were in the far Eastern Paddocks and Bullfinch were also heard there.
- A Harris Hawk was seen landing in the tall tree at the bushcraft centre. Enquiries were made later and it seems that someone regularly releases one in the area.
29th November 2016 - Walton Hill, Runbow Lane then Uffmoor Wood
-3C Sunny but heavy frost
- 3 Nuthatch, Song Thrush, SISKIN (in Alder) and a flock of 20+ Redwing along Runbow Lane
- Buzzard and Pied Wagtail at Walton Hill Farm
- A Nuthatch and 25+ Redwing around Walton Hill Car Park
- 3+ Bullfinch, a small party of Long-tailed Tits G S Woodpecker and GREEN WOODPECKER around the NW corner of Uffmoor Wood.
30th November 2016: Early a.m 3C Clear Frosty
- Song Thrush singing along stream East of Dog Kennel Lane with Goldcrest calling there.
- 2 paties of Long-tailed Tit along Manor Way.
- 90 LBB Gull and 27 BH Gull NW ex roost over Manor Way.
- Male Pied Wagtail at Uffmoor Farm
- 4 Goldfinches just North of Field Cottage Farm where Bullfinch and a small party of Long-tailed Tits were present.
- at Uffmoor Wood car park 2 Bullfinch, Goldcrest Nuthatch and a small party of Long-tailed Tits were noted. 10 Redwing headed East over and 42 Woodpigeon North.
- Jay, 5+ Redwing, Nuthatch and Buzzard were noted around the Northern ridge of Walton hill.
- 10+ House Sparrows were at Ivy Lane corner along with 3+ Dunnock
- A Nuthatch was calling at the junction of Ivy Lane and Saint Kenelm's Road
- c10 House Sparrow were at Fox Farm and 87 Woodpigeon headed NE over Fox Cottage
- Nuthatch, Jay and Pied Wagtail were noted at Willow Barn and a ROOK was seen heading North over fields to the West of Walton Hill, soon after followed by another. 2 Jays were at the northern base of Walton hill.
- A Raven and small group of House Sparrows were at the farm by the Walton Hill Car Park.
- c15 Goldfinch, 2 Goldcrest and 2 Coal Tit were noted along the South Eastern edge of Uffmoor Wood.
Saturday 3rd December 2016 early a.m Dull start 4C Mild Light Easterlies(7) remaining overcast
- Mistle Thrush singing Grange Road/Bromsgrove Road
- Song Thrush singing along Brook near Dog Kennel Lane again
- Song Thrush singing near Quarry Lane
- FEMALE KESTREL hunting at first light at start of Uffmoor Lane, where a Pied wagtail was present. 80 LBB Gull headed West.
- G S Woodpecker, Dunnock and Nuthatch were noted Field Cottage Farm
- 2+ Bullfinch and 4 Long tailed Tit were at Chapel Lane corner
- 2 Raven West of walton hill field
- 15 redwing headed low East over walton Hill
- a MEADOW PIPIT headed North off the top of the hill, 24 Redwing were noted at the South end where a Pale-phase buzzard was seen heading East low over Walton Hill Farm. A female Pied Wagtail was present there.
- Following the North Worcestershire footpath East from Walton Hill Farm, c35 Redwing were noted along with c5 Fieldfare. A Green Woodpecker flew up off the bank on the Northern slope adjacent to the path. 4 HERRING GULL drifted West low over Walton Hill. a few Fieldfare and Redwing were along the tall hawthorns and the pale Buzzard was in a tree just South of the path.
- 2 Bullfinch and a Dunnock were at the start of the wood.
- Heavy mole activity noted along both sides of the cattle grid drive at the Hollies Hill farm and G S woodpecker and Jay were noted at Oakdale.
- A few Goldfinch. Nuthatch and Long tailed tits were noted by the bro at the end of Shutt Mill Lane.
- A pair of Mallard, 2 Jays and a Buzzard were around the pool at Shutt Mill Lane.
- Nuthatch and a small party of Long tailed Tits were noted ar Winwood Heath Road junction.
- GREY WAGTAIL, Nuthatch and 2 Jays were noted at Daleswood Farm.
- At the South end of Runbow Lane Mistle Thrush, 4+ Bullfinch, Jay and the pale Buzzard (calling continuously from tree with another calling to the south) were noted.
- 10 Long tailed Tits and a Nuthatch were at Ivy Lane/Walton Hill junction.
- Jay noted at The Uplands, Saint Kenelm's Road and a Bullfinch at Fox Farm.
- A Nuthatch and the pale Buzzard were at Fox Cottage.
- 2 MOORHEN were on the fishing pool East of Uffmoor Wood.
- c8 Carrion Crow and 2 Greenfinch were in the fields East of Uffmoor Wood.
- A Mistle Thrush was at the Clay shoot field with Buzzard, Jay and Long tailed Tits noted by the brook. A lot of mole activity across this area. Greenfinch and Dunnock were also noted near the brook meadow
- In the main Paddocks c15 Jackdaw were at the South end and c20 more just North of the stable buildings. Mole activity noted again in the North end Paddocks where c45 Redwing, c5Fieldfare c5 Goldfinch and a Greenfinch were present.
- A Goldcrest was along the footpath leading to Manor Way.
- Long tailed Tits were at the Cricket Ground and c10 Goldfinch and Chaffinch were feeding at a garden station on Dog Kennel Lane.
- impressive 39 species noted in total.
7th December 2016 Mild 7C Dull misty Mod S (13)
- Buzzard just north of Chapel Lane near Uffmoor Wood
- foggy on top of Walton Hill so took the opportunity to explore the Western path around the hill.
- RAVEN calling from the farm near the car park. Goldcrest, 15+ Redwing around the junction of the path to summit.
- The Western path was beautiful and eventually a flurry of activity was found near the field gate just North East of the bird hide: Coal Tit, 2 Bullfinch, Jay, 7+ Long tailed Tit, 2 Goldcrest, a TREECREEPER and a single REDPOLL.
- this route was rerun and this time 12 Long-tailed Tit a TREECREEPER and record 6 Bullfinch were noted in the same area.
- near the bird hide, 30 + Woodpigeon, 30+ Redwing, Nuthatch were noted and a GREEN WOODPECKER flew up off the field between the wooded areas.
10th December 2016 Light SW Mild 10C early morning
- Song Thrush singing on the brook again near Dog Kennel lane where a KINGFISHER flew downstream from the outlet by the lane bridge
- 25 Redwing were by Quarry Lane.
- Running late and the female Kestrel was hovering over the carriageway East of Uffmoor Lane, before heading on East, apparently proving that this bird is different to the one seen recently at Walton Hill? 2 parties of Long tailed Tit were along Manor Way.
- The Pied Wagtail was seen over Uffmoor farm and at the brook bridge, GREY WAGTAIL and 4 SISKIN were noted
- A MEADOW PIPIT was on Walton Hill and GS Woodpecker and a Male Chaffinch were at Walton Hill Farm.
- 10+ Blackbird were together along the N Worcs path, where there were also 10 Redwing and a few Fieldfare and 2 Goldcrest.
- 2 Jays, a calling Buzzard c5 Chaffinch, 20+ Redwing, c5 Fieldfare, G S Woodpecker and 3+ Nuthatch were noted just South of Hollies Hill farm.
A G S Woodpecker was at Runbow Lane and at Spring Lane junction 20 Fieldfare and 5 Redwing headed South.
- Past Romsley Country Store and into the village where 25+ House Sparrow and c10 Starling were noted
- 25 Jackdaw were at Hunnington and c5 House Sparrow were near the Coarse Fishery entrance. Coal Tit also nearby.
